1. CULTIVATE an open mind. (Luke 8:5 & James 1:21)
   The Hardened Path - 3 Causes:
   1. Pride
   2. Fear
   3. Bitterness
2. ALLOCATE time to listen. (Luke 8:6 & 13)
   The Shallow Soil - Slow down & listen, immature mind
3. ELIMINATE distractions. (Luke 8:7 & 14)
   The Soil with Weeds - 3 Types of Weeds:
   1. Worries
   2. Riches
   3. Pleasures
4. COOPERATE with what he says. (Luke 8:15 & James 1:22)
   The willing heart - Most of us want God to speak to us, and then will decide if we want to do it or not.  We need to do what God says, regardless.  Listen and understand/obey His Word, and have a willing heart and willing mind.
