CALLING ALL SPORTS FANS!!
It’s that time of year when we have multiple sports taking place at
the same time. As I am writing this, the Rangers have clinched the
western division title (and hopefully another chance at the World
Series), the Cowboys are looking for a quick recovery for Tony Romo,
Miles Austin and others as well as a better season than last year,
and the Mavericks aren’t sure when or if their season will begin. Do
you ever wish you could know more about the players? We have added
three books that will answer some questions you might have -
Beyond Belief by Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton,
Thru My Eyes by former Florida quarterback and current
Denver Bronco Tim Tebow, and Growing up Colt by former
Texas quarterback and current Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt
McCoy.
Pete Underwood has this to say about Growing up Colt
and Thru My Eyes. “I have recently read both Colt
McCoy's and Tim Tebow's bios that are now in Arapaho Road’s library.
These books are highly recommended - particularly to young boys and
their dads. OK, moms and girls, too! Both Colt and Tim show their
strong Christian beliefs and are fantastic role models. I was so
impressed with Colt's book that I purchased two, giving one to my
young grandsons and the other to a deceased friend's grandson. I
feel sure it will impact their lives for Christ.”
CALLING ALL KAREN KINGSBURY FANS!!
Have you read all the series revolving around the Baxter Family?
Remember Bailey Flannigan? Well, Karen has started a new series
about Bailey. We have the first two books in the series –
Leaving and Learning. If you have not read any
of Karen’s books I encourage you to stop by the library soon and
begin reading about this family and all the joys, heartaches,
triumphs and failures that they endure while keeping their eyes on
the One who is in charge of it all.
