Expanding our resources...

  • Approximately 4.7 million dollars is currently owed to financial institutions for the church property and facilities.

  • Approximately 1.8 million dollars of ARBC property and facilities is owned by the church.

...for Missions, Ministers, and Ministries

For our church to meet the challenges of a growing community, to reach those that are seeking, and to meet the spiritual needs of our church family, we must reduce our current level of debt.  We have built beautiful facilities; we must now build lives for the Kingdom of God.  Through reducing our debt, we will free up dollars that are currently being used to service debt, and will put those same dollars to work in new mission endeavors, new ministries, and new ministers to serve ARBC as we take the next steps into the future.

Key Scriptures on Giving:

  • 2 Corinthians 9:7 - "God loves a cheerful giver."

  • 1 Corinthians 4:2 - "Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful."

  • Matthew 6:19-21 - "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

  • Luke 6:38 - "Give, and it will be given to you.  A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.  For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

  • Acts 20:35 - "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Living a Lifestyle of Stewardship:

"I will not offer God that which costs me nothing." II Samuel 24:24

The goal of freedom is not to raise money as much as it is to raise up a church of totally committed stewards of all that God has given to us.  This begins with a prayer.  We are asking every member of ARBC to pray "God, what do you want to do through me to accomplish the mission of "freedom"?  Then give as God leads you and your family.

Some creative thoughts on giving to "freedom":

  • Realize your gift is an investment in building God's kingdom.  ARBC has already built beautiful facilities for the purpose of ministry.  Now we are building lives for the Kingdom through our ministries, ministers, and mission's efforts.

  • Donate an appreciated asset such as stocks, real estate, or accumulated personal collections such as art or jewelry, or precious stones.  As a "gift in kind" you won't be taxed in most cases, and the church won't either.

  • Sacrifice something for something even greater, building the kingdom.  Consider giving up a favorite activity in order to give to freedom.

  • Plan to give from extra income that may come your way.  If you typically receive a tax refund, consider giving a portion to freedom.  If bonuses are a part of your income, consider this as you pray about what God wants you to do for freedom.

  • Plan to give from dollars that become available during the next three years.  Loans that are paid off, such as car loans, medical or dental payments, or credit cards, may create opportunities for you to consider giving to freedom.

Pray that God may guide your decision!
