Please do not park in the Handicap parking places unless you are handicapped.  We have had a problem with unloading some of our handicapped children for Awana.  Please help us with this matter.  Thank you!

Congratulations to our ARBC Awana Trek (7th & 8th grade) Bible Quiz Team and Game Team who competed in the North Texas Regional Bible Quizzing and Games February 24th in Ft. Worth.  Our Quiz team competed very well, finishing 7th place out of 18 teams.  Our Game Team captured first place!  They played like true champions, winning with grace and humility, and representing ARBC and the Lord Jesus with character and a refreshing Christian testimony.  In addition, Christina Polk set a new Marathon Race speed record, shattering the old record by more than two seconds.

Meets at 5:00 p.m. in the Gym!
All Junior High-schoolers welcome!

Trek is the a club designed for boys and girls in 7th and 8th grade and meets from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Sundays beginning in the Gym of the Family Life Center and finishing in rooms 207/207 of the FLC.

Awana equips and challenges junior-high students with a thorough Bible curriculum.  Teens learn to follow Christ in their daily lives through memory verses, in-depth Bible study, application, relevant stories, missions, service projects, and character lessons.  From mature Christians to unchurched nonbelievers, sixth, seventh and eighth graders have a wide range of spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs.  One approach cannot fit them all - this is why, we offer Trek.

Trek Meets the needs of teenagers at three different levels:

  1. Come See - targets unsaved youths

  2. Come Follow - helps young or nominal believers grow in faith

  3. Come Serve - trains committed teenagers for leadership, ministry service and a deeper walk with God.

Trek is divided into three different events:

  1. Featured Event - games and activities to attract unsaved teens to church and make them feel at home

  2. Large Group - this time communicates a single Bible truth that spiritually lost teens can grasp

  3. Small Group - teens are organized into small groups according to their spiritual needs

Sixth, seventh and eighth graders who complete both Trek years will have recited approximately 334 verses, been exposed to the gospel on a weekly basis, studied real-life topics like dating, honesty, peer pressure and temptation from a relevant Bible perspective, and been trained to serve and follow Christ through the struggles of daily teen life.

While Trek retains some elements of the clubs, its materials, terminology, and methodology are specifically geared to 7th and 8th graders.  JV features the Sprint Manual and Marathon Manual; a track and field motif; and a T-shirt "uniform".

Trek begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Gym for the "Featured Event" time.  This may be game time or party time.  It is up to the director and leaders what they will do each night.  Then they have their large group time.  This will be in Rooms 215/217.  They will then go to their "Small Group Time".  This is the time that they will work on their handbooks.

Awana is over at 6:30 p.m. for Trek and 24/7 students.  They are not eligible to work in younger Awana clubs.

Cost:  Dues - $30.00/year
          Handbooks - $8.00
          Uniform - $16.00
