Summit Countdown!
Our Summit Countdown is on and we are PUMPED! We will be taking 70+
students and adults to St. Charles, IL (just outside of Chicago) for a
big Awana youth competition. Summit begins Saturday, March 3, and
runs through Tuesday, March 6. Our high school students will be
competing in Bible quizzing, fine arts, AwanaGames and volleyball
throughout this four-day event.
Please pray for all of us to have a safe trip to and from Chicago and
for safety while we are there. Pray that God will use all of us for His
glory.
Each year, Awana headquarters invites a band or praise and worship
leader to come and do the special music for Summit. This event is
attended by thousands of students and adults from all over the United
States. This year, we are very proud and excited to announce that the
band that they have chosen is Harbor Lights, one of North Texas'
newest and best Christian bands!
Please also be in prayer for Harbor Lights to have safe travel to and
from Chicago and pray that God will use them to minister to the students
and adults attending Summit 2012!
Awana is still growing!
After the Christmas and New Year break each year, we usually watch
our attendance drop drastically. This year, we are happy to report,
we’ve experienced just the opposite - we are still growing! This past
Sunday night, we set a new record for this Awana year with 294 in
attendance!
We could really use more help. Please prayerfully consider being a
part of our Awana family here at Arapaho Road.

AWANA & 24-7 MINISTRIES BASICS
Who may attend?
Boys, Girls, and teens age 2 thru High School.
When does AWANA Meet?
Sundays 5:00-7:00 p.m. during the school year.
Why should my kids attend?
AWANA offers sound Biblical instruction, scripture memory,
organized games, great Christian Fellowship, and awards for
completing scripture verses and good sportsmanship.
Is there a fee?
Yes. Nominal yearly dues are necessary to cover the cost of
the awards. In addition, an AWANA vest or shirt will be
necessary for Clubbers to display their awards. Finally,
scripture handbooks need to be purchased for your Clubber.
