NO AWANA - Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy this Sunday off with your family and friends!!!

Commanders Corner:
October was a busy month in AWANA. We are currently collecting canned and boxed food items for our AWANA FOOD PANTRY! Each year, our students and leaders bring food items during October and November to help needy families in our area. We also are collecting paper goods, cleaning items, over the counter medicines (ex. cold medicines, Tylenol, stomach medicines, vitamins, etc.), the food items that we need the most are: soups, cereal, oatmeal, dried beans, instant potatoes, rice, pasta and sauces. On November 16th and November 23rd, we will be collecting meats, produce, dairy products, frozen items, and our annual Thanksgiving offering to help with the cost of the items that we have to purchase. Also, we use manufacturers coupons to help keep the cost down. If you have any unwanted coupons, please place them in an envelope or bag and bring them to the AWANA OFFICE. If we are not in the office, you may clip them outside of the door or hang them on the door. We are expecting to help at least 20-25 families this year, if you know of a family that could use some help with food during this time, please call the church office (972-495-2223) or the Awana office (972-495-2223 x 229) and leave us a message with the name and a contact phone number.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
