Upward® Basketball
 Grades 1st - 6th

Registration Information

Registration Form (PDF)

Bring or mail registration form and fee to:  Arapaho Road Baptist Church, 2256 Arapaho Road, Garland, TX 75044.  Form and registration fee may be dropped off at the church office anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Early Registration Cost:  $85  (after November 9, cost: $95)
Basketball shorts are included in the registration cost.
Deadline for registration is December 14.

Same team requests:  Both children must request each other for carpool links.  Please limit the number to 2 requests.  Thank you.

Evaluations and Orientations

Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation.
They will take place at the ARBC Gym as follows:

1st & 2nd Grade Boys/Girls
Monday, October 20, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

3rd & 4th Grade Boys/Girls
Tuesday, October 21, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

5th & 6th Grade Boys/Girls
Thursday, October 23, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Make-up Evaluations
1st - 6th Grade Boys/Girls
Tuesday, November 4, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Note:  If you have children in multiple grade levels, they may all evaluate on the same night.

League Schedule:

Practices begin the week of Monday, December 8, 2008.
First Game - Saturday, January 17, 2009
Awards Celebration - Tuesday, March 10, 2009

There is a 1-hour practice each week.  Games are held on Saturdays for 1 hour.  Teams are picked based on evaluations to enable us to create teams that are equal.

 

 





 

 

 

Each game day we need help each hour in the following areas:

  • 2 people to help Set-up

  • 4 Referees

  • 1 Devotion person to either read from a prepared devotion or you can do your own

  • 2 Score Keepers

  • 5 Concession stand workers

  • 2 Hallway/Bathroom Monitors

  • Clean-up—as many people as can help on Saturday evenings to get ready for Sunday morning
